Were looking for a Networking Engineer to join our team. We are seeking a highly skilled Network Level 2 Analyst to provide advanced administration, monitoring, and operational support within a large enterprise network environment. This role is responsible for maintaining stability, performance, and security across Cisco-based infrastructure and Check Point security platforms. The successful candidate will possess strong handson expertise in Cisco routing and switching (mandatory) and demonstrate solid working knowledge across modern Cisco enterprise technologies including Cisco ISE, Cisco Wireless, Cisco Catalyst Center, and Cisco ACI . Experience with Check Point firewalls is required . This role acts as the escalation point for Level 1 support, working directly with customers, vendors, and Level 3 engineering teams to resolve complex incidents and ensure optimal network performance. This role is onsite in Hamilton, ON Key Responsibilities Network Operations & Support Administer, maintain, and support enterprise Cisco network infrastructure including: Cisco Routing & Switching (Required) Cisco Wireless Controllers & Access Points Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA Center) Cisco ACI environments Support and troubleshoot Check Point firewall environments (Required). Perform advanced troubleshooting across LAN, WAN, wireless, and data center networks. Resolve incidents escalated from Level 1 support within SLA timelines. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents and recurring issues. Provide detailed technical documentation for incidents and resolutions. Implementation & Change Support Support network hardware and software upgrades, including IOS/NX-OS updates. Participate in change management planning, testing, implementation, and validation. Assist with site implementations, vendor engagements, and field engineering activities. Perform remote diagnostics and testing to validate alerts, events, and performance issues. Provide cabling and patching support within data centers and IDF/MDF closets when required. Serve as a technical point of contact for customer escalations. Coordinate with vendors (Cisco, Check Point, carriers) for advanced troubleshooting. Guide end users and helpdesk teams through complex triage processes. Participate in service transition activities and knowledge transfer sessions. Monitoring & Optimization Monitor network performance and capacity trends. Identify recurring issues and recommend proactive improvements. Support network optimization initiatives including wireless performance and segmentation strategies.
