What You''''ll Do Commercial Growth & Market Expansion Develop and execute a multi-year growth strategy for product distribution through E&I shops and direct end-user channels. Build & scale Primecs presence in oil & gas, industrial automation, and related sectors across Alberta and Saskatchewan (~20% travel required) Strengthen relationships with E&I shops, OEM partners, vendors, and key operators. Drive customer engagement through technical credibility, industry insight, and strong communication. Corporate Development & M&A Support Lead commercialization strategy and support corporate development initiatives. Identify, evaluate, and recommend acquisition targets from small tuck-ins to larger merger opportunities. Partner with executive on financial/operational evaluation, due diligence and integration planning as required. Develop a repeatable M&A pipeline that supports long-term growth objectives. Technical & Internal Collaboration Provide high-level technical expertise in instrumentation, VFD systems, electrical infrastructure, and production optimization. Strengthen Primecs proposal, technical quoting, solution-design processes in partnership with inside sales and field operations. Ensure commercial alignment across operations, inventory planning, technical specialists, and leadership to ensure alignment across teams. Champion Primecs cultural practices across customer focus, accountability, teamwork, and safety. What You Bring 10+ years of proven experience in business development, technical sales, or sales leadership in industrial, oil & gas, electrical, or instrumentation sectors. Strong technical foundation of electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems Electrical J-person or Instrumentation Technologist preferred. Demonstrated success scaling territory, building distribution, or unlocking new markets. Deep industry relationships and exceptional relationship-building skills. Strong analytical and financial acumen to evaluate strategic opportunities. Experience participating in acquisition due diligence or integration is an asset. Commitment to continuous improvement, quality, and safety. Success in First 12 Months Expanded distribution network with at least 12 new sub-channel partner distributors. Build a clear acquisition pipeline including at least one evaluated opportunity. Initiate at least one new OEM or vendor partnership.
