DURABUILT COMMERCIAL SOLUTIONS Edmonton, AB Are you a strategic estimator with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for the commercial glazing industry? Durabuilt Commercial Solutions is seeking a Senior Estimator leads the tendering process and secures profitable, high-profile commercial projects. In this role, you will go beyond the data. Working closely with the Sales & Estimating Manager, youll serve as a key driver of our growth mentoring junior talent and cultivating lasting partnerships with general contractors and consultant. Key Responsibilities Precision Estimating: Prepare accurate, competitive tenders, material take-offs, and labor estimates for large-scale glazing projects. Strategic Tendering: Solicit and analyze subcontractor pricing, review scopes for risk/exclusions, and propose value-added alternates to win bids. Client Engagement: Act as technical advisor for customers, attending pre-tender meetings and following up on bid status to improve our competitive position. Leadership & Mentorship: May support and review the work of junior/intermediate estimators to promote consistent standards across the team. Operational Support: Collaborate with Project Managers during handovers and assist with pricing change orders and value-engineering options. Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, material costs, and competitor activity to refine our estimating strategy. What You Bring Experience: 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction (Glazing experience is strongly preferred). Education: Diploma in Construction/Civil Technology, Estimating Certificate, or equivalent industry experience - preferred Technical Savvy: Expert ability to read blueprints and specs; strong knowledge of commercial glazing systems. Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel expert); experience with CRM (Salesforce) or estimating software is a major asset. Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, high attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Mobility: Valid drivers license for occasional site visits.
