Job Description

Responsibilities Administer and optimize Energy Management System (EMS) through application configuration, tuning and security patching preferably on GE PowerOn Reliance (XA21) and/or AEMS Platform Software or other equivalent platforms (Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider et al.). Simulated RTU, Simulated IED, Console ICCP, IEC, DNP3, Modbus, Data Modeling, XML/JSON proficiency. Proficient in both Linux and Windows operating environments. Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server. Over 5 years of experience in Power system applications including Power Flow, State Estimator, Contingency analysis, Load Frequency Control (AGC), Dispatcher Training Simulator (DTS) with expertise in model validation event creation. Proficient in programming languages (at least 3 years of experience for integration or scripting) such as C, C++, PERL, or similar. SQL & Shell scripting, and ability to read and interpret logs and debug files. Must have experience in picking up and installing fixes on live customer systems. Model validation and defect fixing for DTS system. Perform necessary technical corrective actions to restore failed or failing technical services on EMS system. Conduct code review, deployment, testing, and monitoring of break/fix patches and modifications.
