THE ROLE AND IMPACT: Cystic Fibrosis Canada has been powered by volunteers for 65 years, and this role plays a key part in sustaining that legacy. As Coordinator, Volunteer & Community Engagement, you work primarily behind the scenes to create smooth, supportive, and well-organized experiences that enable volunteers and staff to succeed. From maintaining postings and coordinating onboarding workflows to preparing communications and ensuring Volunteer Management System and CRM data are accurate, you help the volunteer engagement strategy run seamlessly and ensure volunteers feel welcomed, equipped, and connected. In addition to volunteer engagement, you support select community initiatives, including coordinating the annual Community Awards and contributing to the operational side of programs that bring the CF community together. By keeping details organized, technology running efficiently, and information flowing clearly, you help create meaningful and positive experiences for everyone involved in Engagement Team programming. RESPONSIBILITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH: Volunteer Engagement Support volunteer journey coordination and technical implementation (Rosterfy VMS) to ensure volunteers move through each stage smoothly. Maintain volunteer postings across all platforms, ensuring accurate and timely updates. Assist in collecting and organizing volunteer feedback to support continuous improvement. Maintain templates and basic resources to support staff partners (e.g. onboarding materials, checklists, guides) and offer 1:1 support to help upskill lead volunteers as needed. Maintain organized volunteer records and documentation using Raisers Edge NXT, Rosterfy and other tools. Serve as the primary point of contact for staff seeking volunteer recruitment support across programs, patient initiatives, advocacy and events. Draft and post volunteer role descriptions and coordinate promotion with MarComms. Coordinate volunteer appreciation touchpoints in collaboration with the team. Support broader volunteer recognition activities (spotlights, impact stories, monthly features, Volunteer Week initiatives). Community Awards Coordination Lead the annual Community Awards cycle, including planning timelines, communications, administration, and coordination across teams. Support nomination collection, review processes and communications with nominees and recipients. Work with MarComms to promote awards and share recipient stories. Maintain uptodate records and documentation for all award categories. Administrative Support Monitor central email inboxes and respond to inquiries with timely, friendly communication. Support data entry of Engagement Program records into Raisers Edge to ensure accurate and up-to-date record-keeping. Provide logistical and administrative support to engagement team initiatives such as Elevate, Peer Connections and other community programs. Support tracking program metrics and preparing basic reports. Support special projects as assigned. Communications & Data Prepare communityfacing communications such as email updates, invitations and scheduling messages. Ensure data accuracy in RE NXT and assist with cleaning, documentation and export as needed. Support reporting cycles with timely updates to dashboards and tracking tools. Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure systems and workflows are integrated and efficient. Collaboration Work closely with the engagement team, the communications and marketing team and staff partners to volunteers. WHAT YOU BRING: College or university degree/diploma or equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience in volunteer coordination, community engagement, program support or related work. Bilingualism in French and English is an asset, with advanced written and spoken English Comfortable working extensively with digital tools and systems, including volunteer management systems (VMS) and CRM platforms, with the ability and determination to learn new technologies quickly. Knowledge of or experience in non-profit, community or health-related settings is an asset. Highly organized and detail oriented Self-starter who exudes a sincere passion for volunteers, community engagement and embraces volunteerism Warm, friendly communication skills, a customer service mindset and comfortable interacting with community members and colleagues. Ability to prioritize appropriately when facing multiple responsibilities and tasks Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral Ability to work with diverse groups of people Proven capabilities in project coordination, volunteer engagement, database use for record keeping.
