Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Automotive Technician located in Bolton, ON. The Automotive Technician will perform diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, oil changes, suspension work, and a variety of general automotive repairs. Attention to detail, safety, and efficiency in completing repairs and maintenance tasks are key aspects of this role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Recording maintenance requests and customer reports of issues like excessive engine noise/poor handling Conducting vehicle inspections and reporting any problems Using electronic diagnostic equipment to find issues quickly Adjusting alignments and suspensions when needed Makes sure tools and equipment are working well Complying with company and government regulations Properly disposing of used oil, radiator fluid, worn-out parts and other components Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups Adjust, repair and replace parts and components of vehicles including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drivetrain, air brakes, steering and fuel, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems Test driving vehicles before and after repairs to ensure proper operation Communicate clearly with Service Advisor or customers about vehicle issues and recommended repairs Keep accurate records of work performed, parts used and time spent on each repair Performing software updates and reprogramming of vehicle control systems when necessary Support junior technicians or apprentices through guidance or mentoring, if applicable Ensuring customer vehicles are treated with care (seat/floor covers used, cleanliness maintained) Qualifications 310S Certification Valid drivers license with a clean driving record Proficiency in Vehicle Maintenance, including routine servicing and oil changes Hands-on experience with Automotive Repair and general Maintenance & Repair Knowledge of Suspension systems and related repair techniques Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills Ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment Prior experience in the automotive dealership industry is an advantage
