Architectural Technologist / Architectural Designer / Intern Architect (15 Years Experience) Company Description CHERIE NG ARCHITECT INC. is a Toronto-based architectural firm specializing in municipal and community infrastructure projects. Our work includes recreation facilities, community centres, public housing, educational facilities (universities and colleges), and other municipal infrastructure projects across Ontario. As a focused and collaborative practice, our team works across all phases of architectural practice, from schematic design through construction administration. Staff work directly with the Principal Architect and senior staff, gaining exposure to real project delivery and practical architectural problem solving. Role Description CHERIE NG ARCHITECT INC. is seeking a full-time Architectural Technologist, Architectural Designer, or Intern Architect with 15 years of experience to join our team. This role is suited for individuals who want to develop strong design and technical architectural skills through real project experience. Team members contribute to projects across all phases of practice, including schematic design, design development, permit drawings, tender documentation, and construction administration. Because of our small-team environment, staff work directly with the Principal Architect and senior staff, gaining mentorship and progressively developing the ability to contribute to projects with increasing independence. Key Responsibilities Prepare architectural drawings and documentation using Revit and AutoCAD Develop construction details and technical drawing packages Assist in preparation of permit and tender documentation Coordinate drawings with structural, mechanical, and electrical consultants Participate in project meetings and occasional site visits Assist with construction administration and drawing revisions Team members typically participate in 12 site visits per month, gaining exposure to construction and contract administration. Qualifications Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or a related field Minimum 1 years of experience working in an architectural firm Architectural co-op or internship experience will be considered acceptable Experience producing construction drawings or technical documentation Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawing production Ability to research technical questions and develop solutions independently Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to manage tasks independently, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving project issues. Work Environment Location: Etobicoke This is primarily an office-based position, with team members expected to work in the office most days of the week to support collaboration, mentorship, and project coordination.
