Senior Estimator / Project Manager Location: Vaughan, ON Salary: 120k+ Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator / Project Manager to oversee civil construction projects from tender through to completion . This role is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, including reviewing project specifications, preparing detailed cost estimates, coordinating project execution, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, consultants, and site personnel to ensure effective communication, risk mitigation, and efficient project delivery. Key Responsibilities Identify and pursue upcoming project opportunities and review project specifications in detail. Prepare accurate cost estimates, tenders, and quotations based on project drawings and specifications. Utilize SharpeSoft to develop estimates, manage project budgets, and track financial performance. Coordinate project planning, scheduling, and execution once projects are awarded. Maintain a strong understanding of civil construction scopes including earthworks, roadworks, sewer and watermain installation, bridge work, and demolition . Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as required. Participate in project coordination meetings with engineering teams, site staff, and internal departments to ensure schedules and deliverables are met. Collaborate with office teams to ensure accurate tracking of project activities, costs, and documentation. Qualifications & Experience 10+ years of estimating experience , preferably within civil construction . Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, estimating, or a related field . Strong attention to detail and ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment . Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously . Strong communication and collaboration skills. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 . Experience with SharpeSoft estimating software is considered an asset. Valid Ontario drivers license in good standing.
