Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to lead all aspects of plant operations and deliver outstanding results. In this pivotal role, you will oversee production, scheduling, compliance, maintenance, and quality assurance, ensuring production efficiency, high-quality output, and consistent adherence to food safety and employee safety standards. You will champion continuous improvement, strengthen cross-functional execution, and build a culture of teamwork and innovation to achieve strategic goals and customer service targets. Duties Lead overall plant operations across production, people leadership, safety, food safety, quality, and performance. Deliver daily/weekly production plans to meet demand, service levels, and inventory requirements. Supervise plant staff, including hiring, training, and performance management; coach supervisors/department leads and foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing operational data and implementing best practices (yield, efficiency, waste reduction, and process optimization). Monitor key operational metrics related to quality control, process efficiency, and safety compliance; escalate issues and drive corrective actions. Partner with QA/HACCP to maintain HACCP, GMPs, and audit readiness; ensure timely closure of corrective actions. Champion Health & Safety compliance and incident prevention through training, safe work practices, and visible leadership. Ensure sanitation programs and pre-op readiness support hygienic operations and food safety requirements (SSOP oversight in partnership with QA). Oversee maintenance and reliability planning to support production continuity (PM execution, downtime reduction, and safe maintenance practices). Manage operating costs and support budgeting; identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities. Support plant projects including new product launches, equipment upgrades, and process improvements. Key performance indicators (KPIs) Production performance (output, yield, efficiency) vs plan. Customer service level / on-time in-full performance (target 98%+). Food safety & quality performance (audit results, non-conformances, corrective action closure). Health & Safety performance (training completion, incident reduction). Sanitation verification and pre-op readiness performance. Maintenance reliability (PM compliance and unplanned downtime reduction). Requirements Minimum 10 years of combined leadership experience in supervision and production management (food manufacturing preferred). Extensive experience with food safety standards, HACCP, and occupational health & safety compliance. Strong background in production planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement/Lean manufacturing. Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Comfortable with budgeting, cost forecasting, and basic financial analysis. Mechanical knowledge coupled with expertise in assembly processes and plant management functions. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively while managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to analyze data for strategic decision-making. Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management or related field; advanced certifications in Lean or Six Sigma are a plus. Join us as we innovate within the manufacturing sector!
