Job Description

Gorman-Rupp Canada was established in 1960 in St. Thomas, Ontario as the first permanent international expansion division of the Gorman-Rupp Pumps Group. In 2020, we celebrated our 60th anniversary of providing a full line of pump and pump package solutions to Canadians from coast to-coast. Our products serve multiple market segments - including: Construction, Industrial, Municipal, Petroleum, Agriculture & OEM. Job Description As part of the Operations team and reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for: Taking service parts orders from various sources (DNET, email, phone calls) Entering orders into Syteline, confirming part availability, requesting parts be ordered Communicating with customers to clarify their parts needs, confirm part availability and pricing, advise of lead times and schedule changes, confirm shipping arrangements Confirm that part pickers have successfully printed Advise the rest of the Operations team on special customer requests Assist in the reservation of products and the release of pickers Recommend changes to safety stock levels based on customer input, current trends Generate Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) to allow customers to return material Filing completed parts orders Assisting in other areas of administration as required This position has no direct reports. Typical hours are 8a 5p, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch and 2 breaks (paid) throughout the day, although alternate day-shift hours can be arranged. Training will be provided. Qualifications Requirements: Strong organizational and communication skills a must. Must be comfortable communicating with customers via telephone, email, and occasionally in person. Must be a champion for customer issues and communicate issues and concerns back to the Operations team promptly. Able to multitask and deal with a variety of requests on an ongoing basis. Ability to navigate computer software (training to be provided). Skills that will help you hit the ground running: Prior experience in a customer service role. Positive attitude even in the face of challenging customers. Being a brand champion for Gorman-Rupp Canada. Experience entering customer orders.
