Dispatcher (Short-Term Contract) Location: Woodbridge, ON Duration: 1-Month Contract (Potential for Extension) Pay Rate: $24-25/hr Schedule: Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM 5:30 PM Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join a fast-paced transportation and logistics team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, can effectively manage multiple priorities, and has strong communication and coordination skills. The Dispatcher will be responsible for planning and executing the daily flow of inbound and outbound freight while collaborating with drivers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations. Key Responsibilities Plan and execute inbound and outbound freight transportation efficiently and on time Communicate with carriers, drivers, customer service teams, vendors, and yard operations Respond promptly to inquiries from stores, vendors, and internal stakeholders via phone and email Ensure accuracy of load documentation prior to driver departures Update and maintain dispatch systems daily Prioritize and expedite urgent or rush shipments as required Track and trace shipments, ensuring on-time pickups and deliveries Execute policies and processes related to productivity, safety, and service levels Maintain accurate records of daily volume and productivity reporting Manage a fleet of approximately 6080 hourly drivers Monitor and manage driver performance based on established KPIs Drive performance to meet on-time delivery and cost targets What Were Looking For Experience working in a fast-paced dispatch or logistics environment Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize and make decisions under pressure Proficiency with dispatch or transportation management systems Strong attention to detail and accuracy Why Join?
