About the role: Island Investment Development Inc. is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and innovative leader to serve as Senior Director for the Office of Immigration. This role is central to the modernization and effectiveness of Prince Edward Islands Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP). The Senior Director will implement an integrated program delivery model to strengthen program delivery across programs while advancing long-term planning aligned with provincial priorities. The Senior Director will establish and lead a public consultation framework to engage employers, community partners and stakeholders to identify innovative opportunities that will improve integration and retention outcomes for clients. The Senior Director will lead a team by fostering a culture of learning and client-centered decision making. They will implement consistent performance management, build leadership capacity, and support continuous professional development to achieve outcomes. The Senior Director will ensure policies are up to date, provide strategic advice to the Deputy Minister and Minister responsible for immigration, and ensure compliance with the Canada-Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Agreement and the Canada-Prince Edward Island Atlantic Immigration Program. The Senior Director will modernize data systems, ensure accurate reporting aligned with both federal and provincial metrics, embed data-driven decision-making, and strengthen data governance. Qualifications: Minimum qualifications University degree with additional course work related to the position requirements; Demonstrated equivalency will be considered; Extensive experience managing teams to accomplish modernization and strategic direction; Extensive experience in immigration; Extensive experience in client engagement and working collaboratively with key stakeholders; Proven interpersonal, team building, conflict management and communication skills; Experience in fiscal management and oversight of budgets; Strong analytical, organization and time management skills with ability to think critically and make decisions in a timely manner; Strong knowledge of the Immigration, Refugees Protection Act and immigration systems in Canada; Experience in performance management, client prospecting, international relationship development and strategic business development; and Drivers license, with access to reliable transportation. Asset qualifications Masters degree; Successful completion of a law degree, supplemented by experience as a practicing lawyer; Licensed Immigration Consultant through College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants; Computer engineering, data analytics or information technology systems development considered an asset; and Multi-lingual.
