Exciting opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join a successful litigation firm in SW Ontario. They are growing and expanding their team. Our client is seeking an experienced lawyer/litigator who has experience in personal injury, long term disability, insurance disputes as well as employment law or any other areas of law that will complement their practice. This firm provides a highly supportive and collaborative environment with the focus on assisting their legal team in their own personal growth and development with their many years of experience. The opportunity provides a flexible workplace with 1-2 days onsite. They offer a platform for motivated professionals to develop and manage their own client base. Key Responsibilities: Managing personal injury, long-term disability, other insurance dispute and employment law litigation matters, including drafting and reviewing correspondence, pleadings, trials, mediation briefs, and affidavits of documents, pre-trial memoranda All aspects of client engagement, meetings, day to day correspondence Determine the validity and scope of client claims Dispute resolution for clients via LAT case conferences, motions and hearings Assist the case managers on Accident Benefits matters, progression, and EUOs when needed Perform legal research as required with assistance internally Providing top-tier client services, including attending mediations, discoveries, and other court proceedings Prioritizing case files and handling sensitive information in a time-sensitive manner Communicating professionally and courteously with colleagues, clients and outside counsel/adjusters Qualifications: LL.B. or J.D. from an accredited law school and a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario 5+ years of experience in personal injury, including motions, mediation and discoveries Demonstrable experience with litigation files Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work proactively and collaboratively in a partially remote team environment Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Our client offers a competitive remuneration package to include a base salary up to $165k per annum.
