We work with clients from the first conversation to final delivery curating furniture, advising on layout, and selling complete room packages that transform how people live in their homes. ABOUT THE ROLE Were looking for a confident, energetic Sales & Design Consultant who can help clients create beautiful spaces while driving strong sales. This is not a back-office design role. We need someone who is polished with clients, motivated by results, and excited to both develop their own leads and convert opportunities generated by the business. This role suits someone who sees commission as an opportunity. The more you engage, prospect, follow up, and sell, the more you earn. Well support you with a strong product offering and the tools to succeed. What we need from you is the drive to build and close. You may come from furniture, interiors, premium retail, showroom sales, decorating, or another client-facing sales environment. Formal design training is welcome but not required. Were most interested in someone with taste, confidence, and the ability to close. WHAT YOU WILL DO Develop new leads through networking, referrals, and community engagement Follow up on leads and inquiries with urgency and care Book and conduct in-store and in-home design consultations Build trust with clients and guide them toward furniture, dcor, and whole-room solutions Sell and close room packages including furniture, textiles, accessories, and layout recommendations Recommend pieces, layouts, and combinations that suit the clients space and budget Create room plans using basic planning tools Maintain strong communication and consistent follow-up throughout the sales process Attend networking events to build profile and generate new business Receive product and assist with booking deliveries as needed Work independently day to day without needing close supervision Learn the Gibson Fine Art side of the business well enough to help cover when needed WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Experience in furniture, interiors, retail sales, design consulting, or another related client-facing field Strong sales ability comfortable both generating leads and asking for the sale Confident networker who builds relationships naturally and follows through Warm, polished, enthusiastic communication style with clients of all kinds A good eye for layout, scale, and putting a room together Comfortable with room planning software or willing to learn quickly Self-directed and reliable you dont need to be closely managed to do excellent work Motivated by the opportunity to earn more through consults and sales Comfortable working in a small business environment where flexibility matters NICE TO HAVE SketchUp experience Familiarity with AI tools for room visualization, mood boards, or client presentations Experience with in-home consultations Visual merchandising instincts Interest in art and gallery environments WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE New leads are being generated consistently through networking and referrals Consultations are booked and converted into sales Clients feel well looked after and confident in their purchases Room packages and larger-ticket sales increase The design service is actively sold, not passively offered The showroom is supported by someone proactive, dependable, and commercially minded TO APPLY Email with the subject line: Sales & Design Consultant [Your Name] Tell us about a sale youre proud of just a few sentences, not a cover letter.
