This role offers the opportunity to shape category strategy within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial CPG environment.The Category Management Lead will own the strategic leadership of the category, acting as the voice of the consumer and customer within Wonderbrands. This role is responsible for driving category growth through data-led assortment and space strategies, while partnering closely with Revenue Management to help shape pricing and promotional strategies. The role works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Insights, and Supply Chain to deliver best-in-class category management and in-market execution. The ideal candidate combines strong strategic thinking with hands-on technical capability and brings experience working with major Canadian retailers.Location: 1425 The Queensway, Etobicoke, OntarioPrimary ResponsibilitiesCategory Strategy & LeadershipLead the development of category strategies that support Wonderbrands commercial and growth objectives, grounded in consumer, shopper, and customer needs.Serve as the internal category expert, providing clear points of view that guide crossfunctional decisionmaking and commercial planning.Translate market, consumer, and shopper insights into practical, actionable strategies that drive category and customer performance.Shelf Performance, Assortment & ListingsOversee shelf performance across retailers, including space productivity, SKU efficiency, and overall category health.Lead assortment optimization and deliver factbased SKU rationalization and listing recommendations that balance customer needs with business priorities.Identify distribution gaps and growth opportunities across banners and channels with clear, datadriven recommendations.Customer & Commercial SupportSupport customer teams in Joint Business Planning and drive categoryled growth initiatives with key retail partners.Develop compelling, insightled category selling stories and customerready presentations that clearly communicate opportunities.Partner with Sales in customer meetings, line reviews, and strategic conversations to ensure recommendations are aligned and actionable.Analytics & InsightsLead insight generation using Nielsen/Circana, retailer POS, and internal sales data to turn complex findings into clear, prioritized business actions.Build customerready insight narratives that explain performance drivers, why they matter, and recommended next steps tailored to each retailer.Diagnose shelf, assortment, pricing, promotion, and distribution performance, providing focused recommendations with defined ownership and timelines.Required ExperienceBachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.7+ years of Category Management experience within CPG; food or fresh category experience strongly preferred.Demonstrated success leading category strategy, shelf performance analysis, assortment optimization, and retailer listing recommendations.Strong analytical capability with Nielsen/Circana, retailer POS systems, and ability to develop clear, insightdriven recommendations.Practical experience with planogram and space management tools (e.g., ProSpace, JDA or equivalent).Handson experience using customer POS and insights platforms such as LDIA, Scintilla, Dunnhumby, and other major Canadian retailer tools.Experience partnering with major Canadian retailers (e.g., Loblaw, Sobeys, Metro, Walmart Canada, Costco) to drive category growth.Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and support customerfacing conversations with clear, insightled recommendations.Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; comfort building clean, persuasive analyses and presentations.FGF Group Competencies:Adaptive Intelligence - Team Members respond effectively to challenges by evolving their skills, mindset, and approach.Flexibility, Agility, Adaptability: Thrives in dynamic environments by embracing continuous change.
