Role Description Primary Construction is expanding and looking for a Project Manager to lead commercial projects within our Southwestern Ontario office. This is a technical, leadership-focused role for someone who can confidently run projects from pre-con through turnover and is comfortable making decisions that impact schedule, budget, and build quality. Role Responsibilities Project Leadership and Delivery Manage projects from planning through completion. Develop and control project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans Lead coordination across architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical scopes Conduct weekly site meetings, issue minutes, and drive accountability Ensure compliance with OBC, municipal requirements, inspections, and permit conditions Technical and Site Coordination Review and coordinate drawings, shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals Oversee site activities with Site Supervisors, trades, and consultants Monitor quality, sequencing, and adherence to building envelope and structural requirements Identify and implement value-engineering opportunities without compromising performance Financial and Contract Management Prepare and track change orders, progress draws, and cost reports Manage subcontractor contracts, scopes of work, and buyouts Forecast costs, analyze risks, and maintain accurate documentation Safety and Compliance Support site teams in implementing Primarys safety program Ensure projects meet all COR, WSIB, and regulatory standards Qualifications Must-have: 510 years of experience managing commercial construction projects Strong understanding of structural systems, concrete work, foundations, steel erection, envelope, mechanical/electrical integration Experience delivering commercial or institutional projects in the $5M$40M range Comfort leading projects through all phases: pre-con, construction, commissioning, closeout Proficiency in: Procore MS Project Bluebeam AutoCAD Strong contract knowledge Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Assets Experience with design-build delivery PMP or Gold Seal Certification (or working toward one) Experience working with landlords, REITs, or commercial developers Why join Primary?
