The General Manager will be responsible for directing and managing all business activities of the organization. This role will focus on developing and executing business strategies, aligning cross-functional teams, and driving performance across sales, operations and administration. Reporting to the President, you will:Lead and manage all business operations across Purchasing, Sales & Marketing, Accounting, Nutrition, Administration and Production.Develop and implement business strategies and programs to improve revenue, profitability, and overall performance.Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to engage and motivate teams across the organization.Build and execute strategic and operational plans in collaboration with department managers and the company leadership.Oversee production to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.Work closely with the Senior Leadership team to establish pricing strategies and the sales team to maintain target profit margins across product categories.Oversee all aspects of sales, supporting measurable growth in market share, territory and product offerings.Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers and industry stakeholders.Monitor global industry trends in research and development, new product innovation, and market dynamics to inform business decisions.Oversee administrative and accounting functions, ensuring processes are effective, reporting is accurate, and aligned with business needs.Negotiate contracts required for business operations, including capital expenditures, with the Senior Leadership Team. Lead the development and management of annual budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives and cost control.Work with the Senior Leadership team to support recruitment, retention and workforce planning Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and trust across the organization.Your background includes:10+ years in senior management roles within the agriculture, livestock or animal nutrition sectors.Bachelors degree in Business, Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field. A Masters level degree is an asset.Demonstrated financial acumen and experience in P&L management, budget development, cost optimization, pricing strategies and sales oversight.Proven track record of driving business growth, with a strong focus on strategy execution, market development and margin management.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for effective team leadership, client relations and supplier management.Familiarity with the animal agriculture landscape in Canada, with an understanding of various livestock production segments.Ability to lead in a hands-on, accountable leadership role within a dynamic operating environmentAbility and willingness to travel extensively across Canada.This is a senior leadership opportunity with full operational responsibility and direct impact on business performance.
