About the Role We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Manager with experience in heritage construction, specializing in roofing and architectural sheet metal. This role requires a strong understanding of traditional building methods, modern project management practices, and the unique challenges of restoring and preserving historic structures. Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and oversee heritage roofing and sheet metal projects from start to finish Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and heritage conservation requirements Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, and heritage authorities Ensure all work complies with local building codes, heritage regulations, and conservation standards Coordinate with shop fabrication teams and on-site crews Conduct site visits, monitor progress, and address issues proactively Prepare project reports, change orders, and documentation Maintain strong communication across all stakeholders Qualifications Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction, with a focus on roofing and/or sheet metal Experience working on heritage or restoration projects is strongly preferred Strong knowledge of roofing systems (metal, slate, copper, etc.) and custom sheet metal work Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail Valid drivers license and ability to travel to job sites
