Role Description This is a contract for a Paving Foreman based in Ottawa, ON, with some flexibility for projects requiring travel. The Paving Foreman will oversee daily paving operations, including site setup, task delegation, and ensuring project deadlines are met. Responsibilities include managing a team, ensuring safety compliance, operating heavy equipment, coordinating with project stakeholders, maintaining and inspecting tools and equipment, and contributing to the overall quality and success of paving projects. Qualifications Strong supervisory skills, with the ability to lead and manage teams effectively. Equipment operating and concrete / paving / hardscape excellence. Proficiency in operating and managing heavy equipment commonly used in paving or construction. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and clients. Familiarity with carpentry and construction techniques relevant to paving operations. Experience in maintenance and inspection of equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Understanding of workplace safety guidelines and a commitment to fostering a safe job site. Valid drivers license to travel to job sites as required. Previous experience in paving or construction leadership is highly desirable.
