The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run. It is a volunteer-led event and the largest breast cancer fundraiser in Canada. This years CIBC Run for the Cure will be taking place on Sunday, October 4, 2026. As a leadership volunteer, you will be part of the Woodbridge/Vaughan events organizing committee of around 12 volunteers who will work over the months to help us plan the event. Currently we are recruiting volunteers for the following roles: Communications Lead Finance & Operations Lead Route Lead Run Day Experience Lead Sponsorship Lead Volunteer Engagement Lead For more details on each of these roles, please use the links above or visit Your commitment This is a 6-month commitment (May through October). Attending local committee meetings (generally bi-weekly to monthly). Independent role work/responsibilities (approx. 4-8 hours per month). Must be available over the event weekend (October 3 & October 4). What were looking for Knowledge and/or experience in any of the role responsibilities is considered an asset. Must be 18+ to apply.
