Adecco is currently hiring a full-time proactive and experienced Corporate Security Advisor to oversee all aspects of physical security across our clients Retail and Wholesale sites, including operation and maintenance of security systems, incident management & fraud investigations. The candidate must be prepared to travel any operational site in Canada. The candidate will develop and maintain liaisons with local, provincial and federal government agencies as well as law enforcement and prosecutors. Location: Edmonton based, Travel will be required Job type: Full-time | 1 year contract with high possibility of extension or turn into permanent Work Schedule: Mon- Fri, 40 hours a week Responsibilities: Security Leadership & Program Compliance Ensure consistent application of Corporate Security policies, standards, and procedures across all company sites. Act as the first point of contact for all securityrelated matters within the assigned region or portfolio. Incident Reporting & Response Ensure all security incidents are accurately reported and documented. Oversee effective and timely incident response, escalating concerns where required. Conduct investigations into security incidents or sensitive matters at the direction of Corporate Security leadership. Operational Support & Collaboration Provide daytoday security support to company retail and wholesale sites in Eastern Canada. Maintain proactive liaison with Business Unit Operations Security Representatives and site management teams. Work directly with operations to determine physical security needs that reduce risk, improve productivity, and lower costs. Risk Identification & Mitigation Analyze evolving trends, behaviors, and emerging risks that could compromise site security. Prepare reports and recommendations outlining security vulnerabilities and proposed countermeasures. Assess the effectiveness of current security systems and processes, recommending enhancements as required. Security Systems Oversight Coordinate design, installation, maintenance, and repair of physical security systems (access control, CCTV, alarms, etc.). Provide operational oversight of contracted security guard services and maintain relationships with service provider management. Emergency Response & Special Events Support Emergency Response Plans and provide assistance to the Emergency Operations Centre when needed. Develop, review, and implement security plans for special events, operational changes, or elevatedrisk scenarios. Maintain positive liaison with jurisdictional law enforcement and other external partners. Qualifications: Successful completion of Grade 12; post-secondary studies in Criminology, Police Studies, Risk Management, or Safety are preferred. A Bachelors degree is considered an asset. Securityrelated certifications are an asset (e.g., Certified Protection Professional CPP, Physical Security Professional PSP, Certified Fraud Examiner CFE, Certified Risk Manager CRM). Minimum of 7 years of security experience in an industrial setting is required. Experience providing investigative support or previous law enforcement background is considered an asset. Experience in Oil & Gas , fuel retail operations, or law enforcement is an asset. Demonstrated knowledge of security program design , investigations, risk and threat assessments , security policy development, physical security systems , and crisis management planning . Working knowledge of access control systems , alarm systems, and CCTV technologies . Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Project experience is considered an asset. Must hold a valid drivers license and valid passport . Must be capable of obtaining a Secretlevel security clearance . Highly motivated, wellorganized, and a strong team player with a positive attitude, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, conflict management, and problemsolving skills .
