About the Project The Connect 6ix project is a consortium-led contract responsible for delivering the Rolling Stock, Systems, Operations and Maintenance (RSSOM) package for the Ontario Line a new 15.6 km rapid transit subway running across Toronto. This includes the trains, signaling, communications systems, and the operations and maintenance facility. Connect 6ix will also operate and maintain the line for 30 years. About the Job The Architectural Coordinator Buildings will support the delivery of the architectural scope of work for the Operation Maintenance and Storage Facility (OMSF) of the Ontario Line RSSOM project. This role focuses on coordinating architectural works, including but not limited to building envelope systems, masonry, partitions, finishes, and associated equipment. The Architectural Coordinator will work under the direction of the Arch, Civil & Structural Buildings Project Manager and will assist with planning, technical coordination, document control, and field execution activities. This role requires close collaboration with structural, civil, and MEP teams to ensure proper integration of architectural elements with building systems while maintaining compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and schedules. What You Will Be Doing? Support the Arch, Civil & Structural Buildings Project Manager in managing the architectural scope of work. Coordinate directly with architectural subcontractors on RFIs, submittals, NCRs, deficiencies, and technical clarifications. Liaise with architectural and engineering consultants to obtain design clarifications and resolve technical queries related to architectural works. Review architectural RFIs, shop drawings, field directives, methods of procedure, and submittals for completeness, constructability, and compliance prior to submission to consultants. Track, manage, and follow up on RFIs, NCRs, submittals, and design changes related to the architectural scope. Verify architectural scope and deliverables in the field against approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements. Assist in inspections, quality checks, and deficiency tracking related to architectural works. Coordinate with MEP and structural teams to resolve interface issues between architectural systems and building services. Monitor site progress for architectural activities and identify potential coordination issues or risks. Maintain accurate records of drawings, revisions, technical correspondence, and site observations. Support change management by assisting in the review and documentation of scope changes and field impacts. What We Are Looking For? Bachelors degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in building construction, with a focus on architectural works such as envelope systems, partitions, finishes, and interior fit-out. Experience working on large ICI or infrastructure projects is preferred. Experience coordinating general contractors, subcontractors, and consultants is an asset. Experience with LEED or sustainable building projects is preferred. Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, BIM tools, and Bluebeam. Strong understanding of construction sequencing and coordination between architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines. Knowledge of health and safety requirements on active construction sites is an asset. Strong attention to detail and document control. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment. Expected Compensation Successful candidates chosen for this position can expect to earn around $60,000.00 CAD. The exact salary you will earn within this range is dependant on the specific project to which you are assigned. Why Choose Webuild?
