Job Title

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager Biological Materials to support sourcing and supplier management activities within a leading global life sciences organization. This role plays a critical part in enabling R&D and clinical operations by ensuring efficient procurement of biological materials, laboratory services, and clinical trial supplies. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive sourcing strategies, optimize costs, and enhance procurement processes while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Key Responsibilities Lead strategic sourcing and category management for biological materials and related services Conduct market analysis and supplier evaluation to develop sourcing strategies Manage supplier relationships , negotiations, and contract execution Support end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, contracting, and delivery Collaborate with stakeholders across R&D, clinical, and procurement teams Drive cost optimization and process improvements Develop and implement procurement content and automation strategies Ensure compliance with GCP, GLP, data privacy, and ethical standards Support procurement projects and initiatives aligned with business goals Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Business, or related field 5+ years of procurement experience in pharma, biotech, or life sciences Experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier negotiations Knowledge of biological materials, clinical trial supplies, biobanking, or lab services Strong understanding of procurement systems and processes Experience with supplier management and contract negotiations Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (GCP, GLP, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.) Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications MBA or Supply Chain certification Experience with AI-enabled procurement tools Project management experience Experience working in global procurement environments
