Position Job Title: Paralegal Location: Ontario (Remote) Reports To: Legal Counsel Primary Purpose We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented paralegal to provide hands-on legal and administrative support to Legal Counsel. This role is integral to the day-to-day functioning of the Canadian team and will involve close collaboration with internal business stakeholders. The successful candidate will assist with, among other things, contract review and management, legal operations, matter intake and tracking, and ongoing follow-up to ensure legal processes are completed efficiently and in alignment with the global legal teams practices and priorities, and general ad hoc matters. The team works primarily remotely, with in-office attendance required from time to time. Key Activities and Responsibilities Provide overall support, both legal and administrative, to Legal Counsel including but not limited to: Reviewing, proofreading, and providing initial comments on contracts and legal documents Assisting with the contract lifecycle, including tracking drafts, coordinating signatures, and ensuring fully executed copies are obtained and properly stored Managing assigned matters within the legal portal, including opening matters, maintaining documentation, and tracking status Assisting Legal Counsel in responding to internal inquiries by preparing drafts, gathering information, and addressing routine requests as assigned Assisting with corporate records and governance matters, including drafting minutes and resolutions where required File management, document control, and general administrative support Other ad hoc matters Position Requirements To be successful in the Paralegal position, an individual must have the following: Education and experience Paralegal diploma from an accredited Ontario institution Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario (LSO) Experience within a corporate department of a law firm or in-house is preferred Competencies Excellent attention to detail Ability to manage his/her workload Ability to work in a fast paced environment Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Ability to work independently & within a team Microsoft office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams Litigation/Corporate law experience preferred Experience supporting commercial contracts is an asset The post holder may be asked to undertake different or additional duties in line with business requirements at the request of their line manager.
