Were looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join our Prototyping & Manufacturing team in Kitchener. Youll be building real products: assembling electronics, mechanical systems, and hardware for clients across IoT, cleantech, and industrial sectors. Waterloo Technical is a product design and engineering consultancy thats been bringing hardware products to life for over 14 years. Our team of ~20 works out of our two facilities in downtown Kitchener, where we have a prototyping shop, assembly area, and warehouse. Youll work alongside our Senior Manufacturing Technician, who will train you on our production lines and processes. Key Responsibilities Assemble electronic and mechanical products following SOPs and work instructions Perform quality checks during and after assembly Handle warehouse tasks: pulling parts from inventory, packing products, labelling, and loading shipments Receive inbound shipments, organize inventory, and maintain a clean workspace Work with hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and basic test instruments What Were Looking For Comfortable with handson, physical work in a workshop/warehouse environment Reliable and detail oriented, you take pride in the quality & consistency of your work Ability to follow written instructions precisely Comfortable using basic hand tools A good attitude and willingness to learn. Well train you on our specific products and processes Bonus: experience with soldering, basic electronics knowledge, or a technical diploma. Extra bonus: youve taken apart a toaster just to see how it works. This isnt the same widget every day, youll work across a variety of products and industries, with direct mentorship and room to grow as our manufacturing operations expand.
