We are looking for a skilled Big Data Engineer III with handson experience in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data platforms. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Python, Apache Spark, AWS, and Snowflake, and is passionate about working with large-scale data systems to enable analytics and business insights. The Data Engineer will report directly to the Data Engineering Lead and will be located primarily in the Toronto King St office. RBI follows a 5day inoffice work schedule to support collaboration. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite 5 days per week at our office in Toronto, ON. What Youll Do Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines using Python and Apache Spark. Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows to process structured and unstructured data. Work with AWS services (S3, EC2, DynamoDB, Glue, Lambda) to deploy and manage data solutions. Implement and manage data warehousing solutions using Snowflake. Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements. Implement best practices across the data industry to standardize and automate data pipelines. Implement security and governance guidelines and ensure compliance with regulations. Who You Are Have strong problemsolving skills with an emphasis on product development. What You'll Need To Succeed Minimum undergraduate degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related technical field. 4+ years experience in programming languages like Python, SQL, Scala. 4+ years experience designing complex realtime / batch data pipelines. 4+ years experience in Big Data space Apache Spark, HDFS, Hadoop, Hive. 3+ years experience designing CI/CD pipelines through Terraform / Git. 3+ years experience building scalable cloudbased data pipelines using Lambda, Glue, DynamoDB, IAM. Experience with Snowflake (data warehousing, data modeling, performance basics). Experience with Databricks an asset. Experience with Loyalty Programs an asset. Base salary range of $110,000 $130,000 CAD. Base salary for this position may vary based on relevant factors such as experience, education, location, and skills. This position is eligible to participate in the Companys annual discretionary bonus plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the incentive program, based on individual and company performance metrics.
