The Team As part of the Global Banking and Markets Engineering technology division, the successful candidate will add value to the team by providing support, workflow and business solutions for several in-house developed and vendor applications associated with post-trade processing for the Institutional Global Equities and Derivatives (listed Options/Futures) lines of business. Responsibilities The Sr Manager Business Systems Analysis (Mid-Office Equity Settlement Technology) will be responsible for conducting analysis leading to the definition of requirements, design, testing, project coordination and implementation of processes, to assist in the resolution of complex business problems for our Global Wholesale operations unit, as well as other business lines being serviced. The incumbent is also responsible for participating in projects for new systems or enhancements, working with development personnel, and leading Agile scrums. The candidate will work with other technology groups and vendors, and provision of ongoing support for all users in the business lines supported. Responsibilities include: Identifies and documents project requirements to capture required outcomes and support the businesss overall objectives. Assists in formulation of the road map for the mid-office applications. Assists in resolving complex, multi-faceted posting problems to meet the system needs of the Institutional Equity Mid-Office, Cash and EES Trading Desks and their internal and external customers, applying business and technological knowledge to analysis, defining user requirements, design and implementation of systems solutions, including rapid prototyping with iterative interim deliverables. Builds, sustains, and leverages relationships with stakeholders to gather, validate, and approve requirements, supporting effective relationship management and quality outcomes. Determines the best approach for eliciting, analyzing, validating, and prioritizing requirements to address business needs. Participates in the systems implementation process by defining business requirements and processes, developing test strategies and test cases, performing testing, defining user procedures and workflows, developing conversion and implementation strategies, verifying conversions, providing user documentation and training, and delivering post-implementation support. Coordinates small projects and/or sections of larger projects to implement solutions to business problems. Provides support to other BAs and Delivery Managers for Trade Floor and Mid-Office systems, ensuring management is informed and issues are escalated appropriately. Coaches other business analysts, and guides technical staff and users on projects. Collaborates with business partners, including senior management, to define business objectives, processes and requirements; leads discussions to understand the business environment and potential project impacts. Qualifications University degree and 5-7 years of business analysis experience, supporting medium to large-sized projects in the capital markets space. Solid business knowledge of the Institutional Equity business. Hands-on experience with bookkeeping principles (double-entry bookkeeping, journals). Exposure to listed products (equity, options, debentures, ETF). Knowledge of two of the following: Broadridge/BPSA, Intact Protocol, FIX Protocol, Fidessa (CTAC)/Flex Trade/Broadridge Itiviti. Understanding of data modeling, process modeling, and user-centered design within organizational standards. Solid business understanding of the use of technology and applications in mid-office and front office trading. Strong knowledge of project management and the system development life cycle/agile development process. Knowledge of Depositories Settlement Process for Equities. Working knowledge of DTCC Omgeo CTM and/or SS&C FMC is an asset. What's in it for you?
