Job Description The Maintenance Lead Hand will be responsible for facilitating the day-to-day efficiency of the Maintenance department and personnel by optimizing resources, ensuring plant standards and metrics are met while promoting a Safety First mindset amongst the team on the day shift. Review assigned projects and jobs with Maintenance Manager Assign labour to specific jobs to ensure completion as per the required scope, quality and time Lead with a Continuous Improvement mindset, searching for and communicating operational improvements Provide training and guidance to the Team as required Be proactive when ensuring all safety requirements and responsibilities are being met, reporting all safety issues or concerns, and participating in Accident/Incident Investigations as well as ensuring all Team Members wear and test PPE Conduct monthly Health & Safety Talks to proactively promote a safe working environment Hourly rate is $48.42 per hour Qualifications Licenced Millwright ticket 433A Minimum 2-3 years Millwright lead hand experience Direct knowledge of vinyl siding/extrusion process, preferred CMMS experience Ability to effectively liaise with contractors and external agencies Highly motivated and self-directed, capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision while balancing multiple projects and deadlines Ability to identify cost-saving measures and improvement strategies Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills Good computer and technology skills A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
