Front Desk Lead - Woodland Estate Resort Job Description Posted Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 4:00 AM Great Blue Resorts owns and operates 10 private resort lakefront properties located throughout Ontarios cottage country. These properties offer outright ownership of beautiful pre-manufactured seasonal recreational cottages. Our resorts have full facilities including community areas, swimming pools, splash pads, multisports courts, playgrounds and beaches. Front Desk Lead Role Overview The Front Desk Lead is a strong sales driver, profit focused and people oriented. This Position is key to managing administrative activities in the Welcome Centre building and sustaining positive relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction while generating revenue through chargeable owner maintenance jobs plus through concession and addon sales. Responsibilities Owner Management Fee processing performing occasional collection calls and processing biannual fee payments for owners Manage internal maintenance job system including logging new jobs, billing owners, and daily follow ups with maintenance team so owner can be updated of progress. Collect yearly agreements and proof of insurance from owners Assist with warranty claims including the scheduling of contractors to complete warranty work. Rental management Streamline interdepartmental communication between housekeeping team, front desk team, and maintenance team to ensure all cottages are ready for checkin before designated time and then cleaned directly upon guest checkout. Perform guest checkin and checkouts with exceptional customer service and clarity. Manage owner relations in terms of letting them know of damages, sending customer statements, completing inspections of cottages, and collecting rental agreements. Create todo lists for housekeeping staff. Concessions Sale of pontoon boat cruises, fishing boats, bike rentals, food/drink items or merchandise to owners, contractors and vacation guests. Complete monthly inventory of store items. Ensure appropriate stock of merchandise by placing orders when needed. Property Welcome Centre Cleaning Entrance, interior, washrooms, signage. Incident Report management. Perform all opening and closing duties of welcome centre. Help to run owner and rental guest special events. Works closely with the Sales team to understand, communicate and execute marketing and communication strategy. Administration Phones answer calls, check messages, answer requests, record messages for other employees. Monitor resort emails and draft communications to owners when needed. Train and mentor new staff. Ensure all visitors report to Welcome Centre and sign in and out. Manage purchase orders. Complete regular petty cash and laundry money reconciliations with support of accounting team. Prepare Owner Refund Requests. Apply for construction and demolition permits with municipality when needed. Assist with scheduling, interviewing, training etc. of front desk, housekeeping, and other seasonal roles when needed. Encourage positive social media reviews. Skills/Requirements Postsecondary certificate or degree in business, accounting, management, hospitality or a related field is a considerable asset. Previous experience managing a small team of people. Previous experience in highvolume customer service role with proven multitasking abilities. Experience processing payments, answering phones, and monitoring emails. Excellent communication skills both internal and external. Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PDF, and Outlook. Strong timemanagement skills with the ability to perform multiple revenuegenerating opportunities and providing resort support with potential owners, existing owners and rental guests with little to no supervision. Must be available to work weekends and some evenings. Previous experience working with accounting software or purchase orders considered an asset. Previous experience facilitating rental checkins and checkouts considered an asset. Whats in it for you? Compensation of $20 - $21/hr depending on experience. Paid lunches.
