Mackenzie Investments is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join our Product Department as the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Product Innovation & Development. In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind the evolution of our retail investment offerings, taking full ownership of the product development pipeline for both mutual funds and ETFs. You will be responsible for leading the entire innovation lifecyclefrom initial idea generation and market trend analysis to the successful execution of product launchesdirectly shaping the future of our product shelf and playing an integral part in Mackenzie''''s global growth strategy. Responsibilities Lead development of new investment funds for inclusion on Mackenzies retail platforms ensuring initiatives align with strategy, market opportunities, and long-term growth objectives. Oversee the product development pipeline, including mutual funds and ETFs, for the retail market in alignment with the organizations strategy. Lead the product development process, which includes idea generation, opportunity assessment, product evaluation, business case development and the execution of product launches in collaboration with the cross-functional teams supporting these initiatives. Drive innovation through regular identification of product-related trends driving the creation of new and innovative products for the market. Build and maintain strong working relationships with the portfolio managers and sub-advisors, leveraging their expertise to inform product design, portfolio construction considerations, and fund positioning. Provide the Sales Team and other internal partners with knowledge and training for all new product launches. Identify and drive best practices, opportunities for improvement and actively participate in discussions and initiatives to improve Mackenzies competitive position. Continuously monitor and evaluate Mackenzies product shelf to ensure they anticipate and exceed investor, advisor and dealer needs in the context of demographic, distribution, competitive and regulatory trends and provide recommendations for improvements and/or innovation. Develop and present business cases and work with business partners on requirements gathering, analysis and implementation for new product solutions. Collaborate with Product, Marketing and Operations colleagues in driving the creation of all new product promotional materials and web content. Qualifications Undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance or Business A minimum of 10 years of experience with specific product development experience within the Financial Services industry CFA is a requirement A strong working knowledge of capital markets, asset categories and investment products.
