Directing Internships at the Citadel Theatre The Citadel is proud of its history of training and mentorship. We are pleased to offer five Mainstage directing internships for the 2020/21 season. Upcoming Shows and Internship Details ELVIS: THE MUSICAL By Sean Cercone and David Abbinanti. Director: Ashlie Corcoran. Rehearsal Dates: June23July23,2020. NETWORK By Lee Hall. Director: Daryl Cloran. Rehearsal Dates: August18September17,2020. PUMP UP THE VOLUME By Jeremy Desmon and Jeff Thomson. Director: Dave Solomon. Rehearsal Dates: October6November12,2020. JANEEYRE By Erin Shields. Director: Daryl Cloran. Rehearsal Dates: February9March11,2021. 9TO5: THE MUSICAL By Patricia Resnick and Dolly Parton. Director: Rachel Peake. Rehearsal Dates: March16April15,2021. Internship Responsibilities Responsibilities include: Shadowing the director at all rehearsals and technical rehearsals. Attending design and production meetings as available. Supporting the director as the project requires. Participating in group meetings with senior Citadel staff (Producer, Marketing, etc.) to learn about company operations. Meeting with directors of other productions to learn about their processes. Qualifications Applicants must be theatre professionals with postsecondary training and at least two years of experience. Applicants based in Edmonton are required.
