Position Summary Demonstrates and promotes Trilliums culture, values and management philosophy. Ensure the hospital facilities meet the legislated requirements of medical, mechanical, electrical and emergency response system repairs and maintenance. Ensures that hospital facilities provide a safe and healthy physical environment for all patients, staff and visitors. Strong working knowledge in Computer Maintenance Management Software (CMMS), Service Contract Management and Assets Management essential. Ensures compliances with all legislative requirements (e.g. TSSA, CSA, etc.). Track and optimize defined KPIs from service contracts over the duration of the contract. Manages Preventative Maintenance (PM) for all equipment as required by healthcare standards and codes. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with management, patients, residents, customers, employees, suppliers and the community to ensure safe and efficient systems and full customer satisfaction. Ensures completion of the thirdparty annual maintenance program and legislative compliance across all Trillium Health Partners owned offsite locations. Serves as the Facilities Program liaison between the thirdparty facilities management companies and Trillium Health Partners for all owned offsite locations. Participates in Human Resources and Finance budgetary planning processes to ensure strong people management and financial accountability. Recruits, coaches, mentors, develops, evaluates and manages the performance and development of staff. Collaborates with Director of Redevelopment, Master Plan and Director of Patient Care Services to ensure constructive and unified approach to achieving overall THP as well as departmental vision and activities. Network with other Facilities/Hospitals and maintain an awareness of internal/external market conditions. Fosters alliances and promotes networking to enhance knowledge and best practice trends for Facilities Services. Recommend implementation of new technologies and equipment and ensure safety and quality assurance standards have been attained. Maintain established Trillium Health Partners principles, protocols and objectives for quality assurance and safety, including all regulatory bodies and the Collective Agreement. Evaluate departmental procedures recommending/implementing any needed changes. Must be available for OnCall support, on rotational basis. Ensures all Facilities systems and equipment are planned and scheduled for preventative maintenance and maintained using defined CMMS software and reporting system. Develops, monitors and delivers on key CMMS components, i.e. labour costs and hours, equipment tracking for history and performance, inventory, preventative maintenance work orders and scheduled downtime. Prepares, monitors and coordinates multiple CMMS and project schedules, financial budgets and reports. Oversees schedules and estimates labour, material, equipment, PM frequency and downtime to complete preventative maintenance work. Organizing and maintaining technical information, regulatory compliance records, licensing and certification of all elements of HVAC system, life safety systems, electrical system, emergency power system, elevators, structural reviews, roofs, soils, painting, etc. Liaison lead during hospital wide codes, scheduled downtime and inventory control through Capital Planning process. Oversees training components for staff on business processes and CMMS functionality. Key Qualifications Degree and/or College Diploma or relevant experience in building sciences field, with a P. Eng. or CET or Facilities Management designation required. Project Manager Professional (PMP) credential an asset. Minimum of 7-10 years management/leadership experience in Facilities management, in a large unionized, Health Care related environment. Able to manage KPIs for service contracts, contracts valued at $3-4 million. Excellent proven knowledge of complex electrical and mechanical building systems, codes, standards, regulations and legislation. Experience and working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, as well as in fire/safety regulations within a health care setting. Strong experience and working knowledge in Asset Management and Rolling Stocks. Exceptional team building, analytical, writing and presentation skills as well as a demonstrated ability to lead people, accomplish identified as well as new goals and objectives to achieve desired outcomes. Expertise in budgeting, costcontrol, and financial management and planning with a commitment to constantly improving services and programs within Trillium Health Partners busy and fastgrowing community. Excellent organizational, project management and project commissioning experience, partnership building and problemsolving skills. Must be able to organize and prioritize work and handle multiple tasks in a fastpaced and customer service orientated environment. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a dynamic team of professionals and other internal and external stakeholders.
