We are currently seeking an Accounting/Office Administrator in a very busy office, reporting to the President of the Branch. The successful candidate will have excellent time management skills, be able to multitask, be very detailoriented, have a friendly personality, and possess superb accounting and administrative skills, including minute taking. Ideal candidate Minimum 2nd year accounting designation completion. Working toward a degree in Accounting or Finance would be considered a strong asset. Highly analytical and accurate. Attention to detail is critical to this role. Techsavvy, including but not limited to Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to work effectively under pressure, adhering to tight deadlines. You have a strong work ethic, and you thrive on challenges. Strong timemanagement abilities and motivation to work independently in a highvolume work environment. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities effectively and efficiently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Responsibilities Prepare all financial statements for the Branch operation, such as assets and liabilities, revenue and expenses, all tax remittances to Government agencies, all accounts receivable, daily sales report and bank reconciliation statement. Post all entries on the Sage accounting system. Maintain Petty Cash. Pick up mail regularly at the Post Office. Administration Handle all inquiries from Executive committee, members and public. Take minutes at Executive and General meetings and follow up on all decisions. Maintain a proper filing system for all correspondence and receipts. Records need to be stored for safekeeping. Maintain an uptodate calendar of events. Ensure all proper paperwork is completed and in the rental book. There should be paperwork for each event. Book Hall rentals, show rooms and collect fees. Maintain all current contracts for services and supplies, periodically reviewing the cost and making recommendations to the Executive. This fulltime position is available immediately.
