Job Summary Live and work in one of the most beautiful places in Northwest B.C. - Snow Valley Ford is hiring! We are looking for a Full-time Licensed Automotive Technician or 3rd year apprentice. You will work in a fast-paced environment, with competitive wages, annual increases, paid coffee breaks, and an excellent benefits package. Please note some weekends or overtime may be required. This position contributes to the operational efficiency of the shop by maintaining, repairing, and diagnosing automotive vehicles in accordance with Totem Auto Group and manufacturer guidelines, ensuring that our customer visits meet and exceed expectations. Job duties include, but are not limited to the following * Diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance following manufacturer guidelines. * Perform duties as outlined on repair orders and discuss status with service advisors. * Record all pertinent information clearly on a repair order. * Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies, performing preventative maintenance, and notifying Service Management of equipment condition. * Remain abreast on automotive products, manufacturers updates, bulletins, recalls, and technical knowledge. * Achieving and maintaining one CX (customer experience survey index) and 'fixed it right the first time' scores above regional/target averages. * Communicate effectively with Service and Parts staff. * Road test vehicle(s) as required to identify concerns and ensure quality control. * Assist colleagues with maintenance repairs. Qualifications * Automotive Service technician Skilled Trades Certificate, or current ITA transcript with 3rd year schooling completed. * Desire to exceed customer expectations through a Fix it right the first time attitude * Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask * Must possess a thorough knowledge of technical repairs and procedures * Valid Class 5 drivers license with a clean drivers abstract * Must be able to communicate (written and verbal) in English fluently We provide a non-discriminatory work environment that cares about the safety and well-being of our employees.
