Students are needed. This position would suit an individual who enjoys being outdoors and who enjoys being part of a team. Work is scheduled in shifts between the hours of 0700 2200, consisting of full-time and part-time hours. TEMPORARY WORK- May to September 2026. This is a Union represented position belonging to CUPE Local 416 RESPONSIBILITIES: General activities and functions include, but are not limited to: Cleaning and maintenance of washrooms and offices. Grounds-keeping including weeding flowerbeds, cutting lawns, picking up litter, emptying garbage and recycling containers. Fuelling of boats, pumping out holding tanks, and selling sundry items at the gas dock. Performing dock-walks to check vacancies of berths. Answering the telephone and in-person inquiries about the services provided by the Outer Harbour Marina. Providing a high-level of exceptional client service to our guests. Must comply with all Toronto Port Authoritys policies and procedures including Health and Safety policies, SOPs, procedures, and legislated requirements. Must wear designated safety equipment/PPE as required. QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES: Must be currently enrolled full-time in a Post-Secondary Institution. Must hold a valid G2 license and/or have access to reliable transportation. The work location is not accessible by public transit. Possession of a Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification is an asset. Possession of CSA certified safety boots. Able to swim and tread water for 2 minutes is strongly recommended. Able to lift up to 25 Kgs (50 Lbs.) floor to waist. Fluency in English. Ability to communicate in French is an asset. Must be professional, neat in dress and appearance. CONDITIONS: Criminal record check will be conducted on hire. Annual Drivers License validity check, as applicable. Flexibility to work occasional extended hours and/or various shifts or weekends as dictated by business needs.
