Current Shifts Days, 8 hour shifts Location Position Summary Reporting to the Medical Device Reprocessing Department (MDRD) Manager, the Team Leader (TL) facilitates the provision of quality service including: The day-to-day supervision of staff Ensuring the timely processing of equipment and supplies necessary to support the operation of internal departments (i.e. operating rooms, nursing units and external customers). Expansive trails, rivers, and green spaces that support an active, outdoor lifestyle year-round A vibrant arts, culture, and music scene with nationally and internationally recognized events Diverse restaurants, cafs, and local craft breweries One of Ontarios strongest and fastest growing economies Excellent education options, including both a university and college A welcoming, inclusive community with diverse cultures and centres of faith Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Abilities: Bachelors of Science or related undergraduate degree preferred MDRAO/CSA certification/Centennial College certification required (valid within 5 years) Minimum 3-5 years full time Technician experience in a multi-service Medical Device Reprocessing department Minimum 2 years management/Leadership experience, preferably in healthcare Experience working in a unionized environment preferred Maintain and demonstrate working knowledge of CSA/MDRAO/PIDAC standards that are applicable to the MDRD Provide evidence of on-going relevant education; such as health and safety, WHMIS, Departmental Policies and Procedures, Infection Control Policies and Procedures as well as GGH Policies. Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint) Be knowledgeable and demonstrate the Hospitals mission, vision and values Be compassionate, respectful and caring with colleagues and leadership Provide mentorship and support to colleagues Be able to problem-solve independently and know when to ask for assistance Participate in all activities and team work within MDRD Participate and assist in positive communication within and between departments Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner as well as collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service when interacting with patients, families, colleagues and physicians Ready to Make a Difference?
