Job Title: Real Estate Clerk (Private Lending / Mortgage) Location: North York, ON (Hybrid) Job Type: Full-Time About the Role We are a growing private lending and mortgage firm based in North York seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Clerk to support our legal and lending operations. This hybrid role offers a mix of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. Youll play a key role in coordinating mortgage transactions, preparing documentation, and ensuring smooth closings in a fast-paced private lending environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review mortgage and real estate documentation (commitments, instructions, closing documents) Coordinate residential and/or commercial mortgage closings Liaise with borrowers, brokers, lawyers, and internal stakeholders Conduct title and due diligence searches (e.g., Teraview, POLARIS) Track funding conditions and ensure all requirements are satisfied prior to closing Assist with registration of mortgages and discharges Maintain accurate file records and update internal systems Support post-closing processes including reporting and follow-ups Qualifications Minimum 13 years of experience as a real estate clerk, mortgage clerk, or similar role Experience in private lending or mortgage financing is a strong asset Familiarity with Ontario real estate processes and documentation Proficiency with Teraview, Unity, or similar systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to manage multiple files in a deadline-driven environment Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with private lenders, MICs, or alternative financing Knowledge of compliance requirements in mortgage lending Familiarity with conveyancing software (e.g., Conveyancer, DoProcess) Work Arrangement Hybrid model: 23 days in office (North York), remainder remote Collaborative, supportive team environment Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary (based on experience) Performance-based bonuses (if applicable) Paid vacation and personal days Opportunities for growth within a growing firm About Minted Search Group We work with mid-sized and boutique law and accounting firms and private companies across Canada and the U.S. the kinds of organizations doing top-tier work without the layers of a massive shop.
