Job Overview We are currently looking for a Field Manager to join our innovative, growing company. The Field Manager is responsible for building and maintaining a team of Merchandisers. The Field Manager is required to manage the Merchandisers in Big Box, Grocery accounts and Gas & Convenience. The Field Manager will work closely with the Client Service Manager and be responsible for regularly communicating and tracking the field teams'' performance to goal. In addition, the Field Manager will be responsible for expense control and adherence to all company policies.This position will work from a home office and will require flexibility to travel between 50% and 75% within your district to conduct field visits and, on occasion, visit the client/Acosta headquarters or meet with retailers.Responsibilities The Field Manager will:Serve as the main point of contact for the Merchandisers in their assigned district who provide ongoing training and merchandising execution for the client.Will also be responsible for final interviewing and hiring of your team, managing all aspects of their training, scheduling and execution of visits, completion of all reports and overall performance of team to goal.Manage the field performance results and establish team and individual performance objectives with a high level of accountability.Must be able to understand data and formulate plans to achieve district and program results.Regularly provide field insights and competitive intelligence within the team and to the client.Must provide continuous contact, coaching, mentoring and support on an individual basis and in a group setting to ensure business results are met and exceeded throughout the district.Proven ability to adapt to changing business environment while proactively ensuring field organization meets or exceeds client expectations burning desire to be the best!Develop strong rapport with store associates and store management through consistent and professional communication.Qualifications35 years of prior management experience in retail, merchandising, training, sales and/or field marketing.Previous experience in retail sales and merchandising management in Grocery & big box strongly preferred.Home office space with Internet connectivity required.Strong computer skills utilizing the Internet, email and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Natural ability to lead a team in a manner that builds team morale and accomplishes objectives.Outgoing, professional personality with the ability to build relationships quickly.Selfmotivated with strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and with little supervision while exercising ethical and professional business practices.Apprise supervisor of field issues on a daily basis such as ''red flag'' issues, rep fallout and program issues using solutiondriven communication.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Must have a valid driver''s license.Willingness to travel within and outside your territory when required (flexibility to travel 5075% within district; some overnight travel may be required).Heavy lifting approx. 3050 pounds may be required from time to time.Manage and support a team of merchandisers responsible for the execution and visibility of alcoholic beverage brands across retail.About Us Acosta is a part of Acosta Group a collective of the industry''s most trusted retail, marketing and foodservice agencies reimagining the way people connect with brands at every point in their shopping journey.Specializing in retail sales services, digital strategy, and business intelligence, Acosta empowers brands to thrive in the world of omnichannel shopping.
