Job DescriptionADGA is currently building a small team who can provide services on an ''as and when needed'' basis in support of digital integration capabilities. This initiative will involve integration of hardware and software components bridging multiple systems in both lab environments for testing, validation and optimization. This work will involve advanced software development, cloud architecture, real-time data processing and the integration of marine-based technologies. The work will primarily support Marine Technology for Arctic Surveillance. ResponsibilitiesDeliver secure, scalable, and highperforming digital solutions that align with the strategic goals. Translate business and technical requirements into clear plans, architectures, and deliverables. Develop and refine integration frameworks that connect sensors, applications, and data platforms across marinebased systems. Work collaboratively with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth implementation. Provide informed technical guidance and recommend modern tools, technologies, and methodologies that strengthen digital capabilities. Manage timelines, risks, and deliverables responsibly to ensure work is completed on schedule and within scope. Produce clear documentation and support knowledge transfer to staff to ensure longterm sustainability of delivered solutions. QualificationsSystem integration experience, including design and development of modern web applications including full-stack development. Realtime data processing experience, including ingestion from sensors, IoT devices, and edge systems. Database expertise, including administration, data modelling, lifecycle management, and proficiency with relational and nonrelational systems (e.g., PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server, MongoDB). Familiarity with geospatial and oceanographic data, including OGC standards, ISO 19115 metadata, and NetCDF formats. Working with relevant NATO STANAGS, including STANAG 4817. Cloudnative development skills, with practical experience using AWS services such as RDS, S3, EC2, IAM, and CloudWatch. Experience with data governance, metadata standards, and quality assurance frameworks to ensure consistency and reliability. Proficiency in DevOps and automation, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, testing practices, and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell). Working knowledge of networking concepts, such as VPNs, routing, firewalls, and secure data environments. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to troubleshoot complex software and datainfrastructure issues. Ability to document and standardize technical procedures, including architecture, workflows, and operational protocols. Clear communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders. Commitment to security, reliability, and continuous improvement across digital systems. Additional InformationMust be eligible to apply and hold a valid Enhanced Reliability government security clearance. Will require the Controlled Goods Certificate. (ADGA can process for employee''s) ADGA would hire a part time ''Employee'' or ''Consultant'' - must be incorporated. Hybrid role work location is Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Hours of work per week will vary depending upon demand. We anticipate it could be between 12 to 18 hours per week.
