What Youll Do: Run and process end-to-end payroll for Canadian employees using Workday Lead and manage Leaves of Absence with accuracy and compliance Support bi-weekly payrolls , including weekly off-cycle and on-demand payroll runs Oversee expatriate payroll processing in partnership with external vendors (global mobility focus) Guarantee full compliance with Canadian Federal & Provincial payroll tax regulations (all provinces) Regularly perform tax slip and year-end government filings, report reconciliation, and audit participation Provide payroll and year-end support for executive stakeholders (CEO and Board of Directors) Prepare and reconcile payroll and tax-related reports, ensuring data accuracy Handle manual payroll adjustments, off-cycle processing, quarterly fee payrolls, and EIB data loads Utilize advanced Excel for reporting, analysis, and data validation Respond promptly to payroll inquiries via internal case management tools Recommend and implement process improvements for efficiency and compliance Must-Have Skills & Experience: Minimum 3 years hands-on payroll experience with Workday (including reporting and year-end processes) this is mandatory Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian payroll taxation (federal, provincial, multi-jurisdiction) Direct expatriate payroll exposure (including collaboration with global vendors/consultants) Advanced Excel skills : proficient with formulas, pivot tables, and complex reporting Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational ability Excellent verbal and written communication skills professional, clear, and polished Experience in a large enterprise environment (banking/financial institution experience a strong asset) Ability to meet deadlines, consistently deliver high-quality work, and balance multiple priorities Payroll certification (PCP or equivalent) is an asset but not required Role Details: Temporary contract with high potential for permanent hire On-site requirement: 4 days per week Collaborate with senior HR and executive leadership in a visible, high-impact role No direct access to customer data Ready to join a collaborative, high-performing team?
