Job Description Position Overview The Team Leader (Mortar) supports daily manufacturing operations by ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent production on the mortar side of the plant. This role oversees material handling, production activities, equipment maintenance, and operator coordination to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. The Team Leader reports directly to the Production Supervisor and plays a key role in maintaining smooth workflow and operational continuity. Key Responsibilities Produce products efficiently, including mix preparation, packaging, and cleanup. Handle, order, receive, identify, and store raw materials and finished goods; complete all required documentation and system entries. Use only Quality-Controlapproved materials and ship only approved finished products; identify and store nonconforming items. Support production planning by assisting with material and workforce scheduling. Perform preventive maintenance and required repairs on plant equipment; coordinate external contractors when needed; complete maintenance records. Direct and support operators to maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards. Follow all safety procedures and ensure departmental compliance. Carry out purchasing of raw materials and packaging as authorized. Perform other related duties in alignment with Sika Canada Inc.s quality assurance procedures. Qualifications Qualifications High school diploma with 2+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic computer skills with willingness to upgrade. Knowledge of equipment consistent with trade standards. Basic operator experience. WHMIS certification (mandatory) and other safety certifications as required. Valid lift truck operator competency card. Completion of Sika Canada Inc. training related to SMS, environment, health, and safety. Flexibility to train on the day shift and transition to the night shift as required. Additional Skills & Requirements Ability to regularly lift 2530 kg and safely handle solid and liquid chemicals (no related allergies). Strong supervision and teammotivation abilities. Effective teamwork and communication skills. Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
