We are seeking a highly skilled K3s Network Engineer with deep expertise in Kubernetes networking to support hybrid cluster environments (x86, ARM, accelerators). This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing advanced networking solutions for scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Design and implement networking for K3s hybrid clusters (multi-network, multi-interface) Configure and optimize CNIs such as Multus, Cilium, and Calico Enable advanced networking features including VLAN-backed networks, SR-IOV, and multi-interface workloads Deploy and manage bare-metal load balancers (e.g., MetalLB, BGP ) Develop Kubernetes controllers/operators for networking automation (IP pools, VLANs, DNS) Manage IP allocation, DNS integration, and IPAM solutions Integrate cluster networking with external/underlay networks (VLANs, BGP) Implement network security policies, encryption, and observability tools Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and hardware teams to ensure seamless integration Maintain documentation, runbooks, and provide knowledge transfer Required Skills Strong expertise in Kubernetes/K3s networking and CNIs Hands-on experience with Multus CNI Experience with Cilium or Calico Knowledge of MetalLB / BGP (bare-metal load balancing) Proficiency in Go (Golang) for Kubernetes controllers/operators Experience with IPAM, DNS, and DHCP integration Strong understanding of Linux networking (iproute2, netlink, eBPF) Experience with VLAN configuration and hybrid network integration Solid troubleshooting and debugging skills Knowledge of Kubernetes security (RBAC, network policies, encryption) Nice to Have Experience with Service Mesh (Istio, Linkerd) Knowledge of SR-IOV, DPDK, or high-performance networking Contributions to Kubernetes networking or CNI projects Experience with multi-cluster networking and federation
