For more information, visit .**TITLE:** **Junior Sensory Science Associate (3-month Contract)****LOCATION:** **Onsite** in Scarborough, ON**Hiring Hourly Rate:** $23 per hourGriffith Foods is hiring a **Junior Sensory Science Associate** to execute sensory tests in support of Category and Segment strategies, GPE and Innovation initiatives to provide information to assist in making decisions and driving business opportunities.This is your opportunity to be a role model to the Company Culture by living the Values and strive each day to explore, create and develop new food products to support our Customers success in the marketplace.**Vacancy Status:** This posting is for an existing vacancy.**As a** **Junior Sensory Science Associate, your responsibilities will include:*** Support execution of sensory tests in support of business opportunities as directed by Sensory Team members.* Work collaboratively with the Sensory team and panelists to set up, schedule and execute sensory tests.* Follow Sensory methodologies and procedures that are aligned across North America (NA).* Support the execution of Sensory training sessions led by the Sensory team.* Recruit employee and non-employee panelists to participate in sensory panels and training.* Ensure test execution results in accurate and accessible data for analysis.* Coordinate with product developers to prepare product samples for sensory testing.* Maintain a clean and operational Sensory testing space, including monitoring functionality of equipment.* Support the NA Sensory team to execute cross unit initiatives.* Be flexible to execute new projects and activities according to potential changes in priorities.**The** **Junior Sensory Science Associate** **position is well-suited for you if you:*** Are able to coordinate efforts to meet timelines and priorities with available resources.* Have an ability to recruit an appropriate number of panelists to provide meaningful results for sensory tests.**Qualified candidates will have:*** Bachelors degree in Food Science or a related scientific discipline; Associates degree in Science is considered.* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.* Strong organizational and communication skills.* Must be able to regularly taste and smell various foods.* Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. may be required.* Willingness to work onsite as needed.**What will set you apart:*** Experience with Sensory testing.* Experience using CompuSense software.**Equal Opportunity Employer:**Griffith Foods is an equal opportunity employer.
