Wigmore Regional Hospital City/Town: Moose Jaw Department: Renal Dialysis Specialty Day&Night Care Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Hours of Work: 28 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse B $42.040 to $52.440 Travel Required: No Job description The Unit Coordinator, under the direction of the Manager of Clinical Services, is primarily accountable for the system navigation and coordination of patient flow on the dialysis unit. This is achieved by the Unit Coordinator having an ongoing awareness and involvement in workflow of the unit. Key duties include leadership in the coordination of patient and family care, standards of clinical service and quality improvement, developing and providing educating to patients, families and staff, bed/chair management, discharge planning, advocating for the patient/family, identifying supply and equipment needs, assisting with staff scheduling, acting as a liaison between other members of health care team, other service areas, families and patients, collaborating with provincial hemodialysis partners and providing clinical care as required. Human Resources Exemption: No Education - Undergraduate degree or diploma in Nursing Competencies - Computer skills Memberships - College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) Experience - Five (5) years acute care nursing experience - Minimum of three (3) years Hemodialysis related experience.
