The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University has an exciting opportunity for two (2) full-time generalist Obstetrician/Gynecologists at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital (WLMH). The successful candidates will join the staff at WLMH in providing care for low-risk pregnancies, gynecological care, and high-volume gynecological surgery. The Obstetrician/Gynecologists also provide consultant support for a large group of family physicians and midwives who provide primary care to the community. These are full-time faculty positions for a period of three years (renewable). Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidates qualifications and experience. WLMH has completed the process of redevelopment, with the brand-new facility now open. The hospital has a robust maternal and newborn program with 24/7 hospitalist midwife support. Additionally, the new hospital has doubled the previous operative capacity and includes a transition to a Labor/Birth/Recovery/Post-partum (LBRP) model of care. Qualifications: Interested applicants must have a FRCSC in OBGYN, a commitment and demonstrated ability to teach medical trainees, and be licensed (or eligible for a license) to practice in Ontario. Applicants must also satisfy the credentialing requirements of Hamilton Health Sciences. A Master qualification or commitment to complete such will be an asset.
