Responsibilities: Effectively use the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating to provide high quality nursing care to our residents. Ensure our seniors receive the appropriate level of care to meet their needs. Liason with families, physicians, pharmacy, and external community health care providers. Ensure the resident and/or their family is involved in decisions affecting their care. Respond to resident or family member concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken within decision-making authority and/or bring to the attention of the General Manager. Process required paperwork for new admissions and for discharges. Promote wellness within our Retirement Community. Maintain accurate charts for residents. Monitor the activities of the nursing staff and department with respect to the direct care provided to residents. Oversee unregulated care providers and assist with their hiring, onboarding, training, performance reviews and disciplines.
