CBI Home Health is looking to hire Direct Support Specialists in Newmarket, ON Wage Range: The wage range for this position is $23.50 $26.00 (inclusive of $3 wage enhancement) per hour. You will receive a comprehensive orientation including Advanced CPI Training and ongoing supervision. Take an inside look at what youll do each day Supporting clients with community involvement and independence to optimize the individuals quality of life Assisting and teaching daily living activities, and life skills to promote the self-esteem and well-beingDaily documentation and reporting Managing challenging behaviors and situations using CPI knowledge and principles Supporting clients with varied level of personal care (e.g. hand-over-hand, full support, etc.) Assisting with household activities and chores What you will need to be successful: You must have: A Certificate from a related field such as Diploma in Behavior Science, Developmental Service Worker (DSW), Child and Youth Worker, Degree or Diploma from a Human Services related program. Consideration of Personal Support Worker certificate with relevant experience. Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C Certificate Clear Broad Sector Screen dated within the last 3 months Clear Criminal record check dated within the last 3 months Valid Full Class G drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle required Drivers Abstract (3-year Uncertified) dated within the last 3 months Previous community experience working with youth and adults with developmental disabilities, challenging behavior would be considered an asset Recruitment Technology Disclosure: We use technology and automation to support administrative aspects of our recruitment process.
