Job Description

Our client is seeking a diligent and analytical Financial Accountant to play a key role in their finance department. Reporting directly to the Controller, this individual will take ownership of the full-cycle accounting process, drive month-end accuracy, and provide meaningful financial insights that support management decision-making. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional who thrives on process improvement and ensures the integrity of financial data. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Analysis: Lead the monthend closing process, including complex journal entries, comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations, and detailed flux analysis. Operational Excellence: Prepare highlevel financial statements and management reports, ensuring all output is accurate, timely, and compliant with accounting standards. Process Optimization: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and automate manual processes. Treasury & Compliance: Manage treasury functions, including wire payments and banking administration; ensure strict adherence to internal controls and financial policies. Strategic Support: Act as the primary lead for yearend audit preparation and documentation. Special Projects: Partner with the Controller on adhoc financial projects, including forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis. Qualifications Experience: Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in a fullcycle accounting role. Education & Designation: University degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or working towards a CPA would be a plus. Technical Proficiency: Advanced command of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modeling) and handson experience with ERP systems (Oracle experience is strongly preferred). Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated experience within a manufacturing environment is a significant asset. Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings to nonfinancial stakeholders. Professionalism: Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight reporting deadlines, and operate with a high degree of autonomy. #J-18808-Ljbffr
