Discovery EMEA). Role Overview We are seeking an entrepreneurial leader to build and scale Boat Rockers business across YouTube and other digital AVOD platforms. This role has two core mandates: 1. Maximize the value of Boat Rockers existing IP library. You will drive audience growth and revenue across YouTube and similar platforms by optimizing the distribution, marketing, and monetization of our extensive catalogue of television and digital content. This includes supporting current television series on YouTube (e.g. with cutdown and original derivative content). 2. Develop a platformnative content business. You will identify, develop, launch, market and monetize original and thirdparty content specifically designed for YouTube and other creatordriven AVOD platforms. This role will lead all YouTube and related platform initiatives, including: revenue and partnership strategy, channel and platform optimization, performance analytics and audience growth, marketing and promotion, creative evaluation and thirdparty content sourcing and acquisitions. Sitting at the intersection of digital strategy, content development, and revenue generation, this leader will be responsible for building Boat Rockers YouTube and AVOD presence into a significant and growing business. Success in this role means unlocking the full value of Boat Rockers everexpanding library while building a scalable pipeline of platformnative owned content that drives meaningful audience and revenue growth. Key Responsibilities Lead revenueshare distribution strategy for the companys content catalogue on YouTube. Procure new content partners and manage ongoing relationships to ensure consistent and optimized revenue generation. Monitor, analyse, and reconcile royalty statements, using performance data to inform platform strategy, content packaging, and deal optimisation. Strategise and curate content packages tailored to individual YouTube channels, ensuring rights availability and commercial viability. Review and negotiate legal terms in collaboration with internal rights administration and legal teams and liaise with Media Operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of content. Own annual YouTube revenue targets and growth forecasts. Accountable for profitability across owned and partneroperated channels. Monitor RPM, CPM, watch time, subscriber growth, and yield performance. YouTube Strategy & Channel Management Oversee the exploitation of the companys content catalogue on YouTube, including the creation, launch, and ongoing management of branded channels. Develop channelspecific content strategies focused on audience growth, monetisation, and longterm brand building across kids & family, unscripted and scripted programming. Plan for future scalability, including assessing and managing thirdparty partners for channel operations while maintaining strategic oversight and performance accountability. Oversee YouTube CMS and Content ID strategy to maximise IP protection and incremental revenue. Implement metadata, thumbnail, SEO, and A/B testing strategies to improve discoverability and retention. Optimise Longform, and Shorts monetisation strategies. Identify opportunities to increase RPM and platform yield across territories. Creative Content Review & Content Acquisitions Evaluate new development materials and creative projects through the lens of Boat Rockers YouTube channels, offering guidance on format, positioning, and rollout strategy. Review content in production, including early cuts, and provide constructive notes to production teams to support creative and commercial success on YouTube. Source and evaluate thirdparty content suitable for inclusion in the companys distribution catalogue with a specific view for YouTube and other AVOD platforms. Actively contribute to keeping the distribution catalogue fresh, relevant, and competitive by regularly onboarding new content and producer partners. Qualifications / Core Skills & Expertise 8+ years experience in YouTube channel management and revenue growth, with a strong commercial and salesled orientation Deep understanding of revenueshare, AVOD/TVOD, FAST, and digital monetisation models, with a track record of driving revenue growth. Demonstrated experience developing and executing YouTube channel strategies, including multiplatform exploitation and monetisation. Knowledgeable about AI tools and platforms to optimise workflows and results. Established working relationships with YouTube/Google Partner Management teams. Experience participating in beta programmes and platform growth initiatives. Ability to escalade policy or monetisation issues directly with platform representatives. Strong background in rights management, deal structuring, and contract review, with the ability to optimise value across platforms. Skilled in creative evaluation, development analysis, and market positioning to align content with audience and commercial demand. Experience managing producer relationships and curating content catalogues to support scalable distribution and revenue outcomes.
