Position Summary The Account Coordinator provides essential operational and administrative support to ensure the smooth execution of daily tanker dispatch activities. This role is central to maintaining organization, ensuring accuracy in documentation, and delivering exceptional support to both customers and drivers. The ideal candidate is a proactive problemsolver with a foundational knowledge of industry who thrives in a fastpaced, multitasking environment. Key Responsibilities Operational & Administrative Support Assist dispatchers with load entry, order management, and schedule maintenance in the dispatch software system. Prepare, verify, and process documentation, including bills of lading, manifests, and trip envelopes, scanning and indexing. Monitor driver electronic logs (ELDs) and hours of service, alerting the dispatch team to potential availability or compliance issues. Able to manage ferry bookings, lodging for drivers as needed. Understanding of Border Connect ACI and ACE manifest. Maintain accurate and uptodate records in the system for customers, drivers, and loads. Assist Lead Dispatcher booking equipment to the shop or setting up roadside assistance for repairs. Make and assign driver trip numbers and confirm drivers are notified of their tour. Customer & Driver Communication Act as a primary point of contact for routine customer inquiries, providing status updates on pickups and deliveries. Provide direct, professional support to drivers, assisting with directions, paperwork questions, and nonurgent operational needs. Customer and driver service is a huge part of our business. Relay valuable information between dispatchers, drivers, and customers efficiently. Compliance & Safety Ensure all documentation for bulk liquid loads accurately reflects product classification proper shipping names, and TDG requirements for sourcing. Confirm all drivers are following all policies and procedures and have valid orientations and certifications. Geographical & Logistics Support Use knowledge of Western Canada and US geography to help plan efficient routes and provide accurate information to drivers as required regarding customer locations, routes, and potential delays. What Youll Bring 1 year experience. High school diploma. Along With The Following Skills & Competencies Strong analytical, communication and judgment skills. Foster driver relationships for each account to ensure driver retention. Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, multitask and handle projects simultaneously. Organizational skills are a must. Must possess superior attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. 1 year of experience in transportation, logistics, or dispatch support role. Experience in tankers, bulk liquid, or dangerous goods is a significant asset, however willing to train the right person for the position. Basic understanding of bulk liquid products and their transportation considerations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) is mandatory. Experience with transportation management software (TMS) or dispatch software is a major advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and courteous phone manner. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a dynamic environment.
